Method to obtain a plasma rich in platelet- and plasma-growth factors based on water evaporation
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous biological product used in medicine as a treatment for tissue repair. Most methods of obtaining PRP only concentrate platelets and do not take into account extraplatelet molecules, which are involved in various cellular processes. In the present work, a novel PRP preparation method was developed to obtain PRP rich in both platelet and extraplatelet molecules by evaporation of plasma water. The PRP obtained by this method showed promising results in vitro as an improved PRP treatment for future application.
