Dr. Mikel Sánchez, recognized by TOBI, the world's leading congress on regenerative medicine

As part of the annual symposium of TOBI (The Orthobiologic Institute), organized jointly with ASIPP (American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians), the prestigious 'Lifetime Achievement Award' has been presented for the first time. This international award recognizes those who have worked tirelessly for the development, preservation and advancement of Regenerative Medicine through their leadership, clinical research and dedication.
This year, the prize was awarded to Dr. Mikel Sánchez, a pioneer in the application of regenerative therapies in different pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and in the development of protocols for the application of platelet-rich plasma. In these ailments, the work of Sánchez himself and the rest of his research team have been a fundamental part in the advance of innovative treatments that have improved the quality of life of countless patients. His commitment to clinical research and his leadership in the development of new techniques have been crucial to the progress of regenerative medicine. Along with Sánchez himself, Dr. Ramón Cugat and Dr. Steven Sampson were also recognized.
