Leonor López de Dicastillo

Dr. López de Dicastillo Roldán studied Medicine at the University of Cantabria, where she graduated in 2007. Specializing in Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery at the San Pedro Hospital in Logroño, during her residency she completed her training in the Children’s Orthopedic Units at the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza (2011), Dr. Mikel Sánchez’s Arthroscopic Surgery Unit in Vitoria (2012) and the Spine Unit at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla in Santander (2012), where she acquired knowledge of spine surgery assisted by neuronavigation and neuromonitoring, endoscopic surgery, microscopic surgery and oncological spine surgery. After completing her specialization, she joined the Spine Unit in the Neurosurgery Department at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital from 2013 to 2017, with a 3-month stay in Toulouse with Dr. Charosqui, specialist in complex scoliosis surgery. From 2017 to 2018, she worked as an assistant at the Hospital San Pedro, Logroño.

Since October 2018, she has been working as part of the medical team at Dr. Mikel Sánchez’s Arthroscopic Surgery Unit (UCA) and Advanced Biological Therapy Unit (UTBA).

Throughout her professional career, she has attended several scientific gatherings and conferences, actively participating through presentations and lectures and by teaching courses. She has also written several articles for journals, published clinical cases and contributed chapters to books.
